Why was my vehicle repossessed?

Your vehicle was repossessed due to non-payment or breach of your contract with your finance company. CIS Recovery acts on behalf of your lender to recover the collateral outlined in your agreement.

How can I retrieve my personal belongings from my vehicle?

To collect your personal belongings, please contact us to schedule an appointment. You’ll need to bring a valid government-issued ID. Remember, this does not include items attached to the vehicle, such as stereos or navigation systems.

How long will my personal items be stored?

Per Florida State Statute 493.6404, we are required to securely store your personal belongings for up to 45 days. After this period, unclaimed items may be disposed of

Can I reinstate my loan or get my vehicle back?

CIS Recovery does not handle financial matters or loan reinstatements. Please contact your finance company directly to discuss options for reinstating your loan or recovering your vehicle.

Why do I need an appointment to retrieve my items?

Appointments ensure we can assist you promptly and securely. This allows us to prepare your belongings and provide a smooth retrieval process.

What happens to my vehicle after repossession?

Your vehicle will remain in secure storage until your lender provides instructions for its next steps. This could involve auction, sale, or redemption depending on your finance company’s policies.
