At CIS Recovery, we understand that the repossession process can raise many questions. Below are answers to the most common inquiries we receive.

 

Your vehicle was repossessed due to non-payment or breach of your contract with your finance company. CIS Recovery acts on behalf of your lender to recover the collateral outlined in your agreement.

To collect your personal belongings, please contact us to schedule an appointment. You’ll need to bring a valid government-issued ID. Remember, this does not include items attached to the vehicle, such as stereos or navigation systems.

Per Florida State Statute 493.6404, we are required to securely store your personal belongings for up to 45 days. After this period, unclaimed items may be disposed of.

CIS Recovery cannot release a repossessed vehicle directly. You will need to contact your finance company to discuss redemption or reinstatement options. Once we receive authorization from your lender, we will proceed according to their instructions.

Yes, CIS Recovery adheres to all applicable state and federal laws governing repossession. Our team is highly trained to ensure compliance while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
